Hello, and welcome to my website!

Here you will find details of my publications, principally poetry but also fiction and academic criticism.

I will also post details of forthcoming publications, readings and performances; and of course I will also provide a way of buying any of my work should you wish to.

I’m really pleased to say that I have had four poetry collections published recently, Those Other Fields (2020, Palewell Press), Stranger (2021, Cinnamon Press), Ship’s Log (2022, Bristol Books) and Fantasia: Lands of Dream (Brussels Review, 2024). You can buy them in my Shop on this site, from amazon, or by going to the websites of the Presses.

I have given recent virtual readings for the 1000 Monkeys poetry show and the Virtual Artists Forum, and have just heard that the poetry film A Dream of Ships – which you can watch on the video page – won a prize at the Zebra Poetry Film Festival in Berlin in November. It was also the first-prize-winner at the Mayflower Commemoration Festival in 2020. Another film of my work – ‘The Harbour-Master’s Tale’ – was similarly successful at the IMM Festival this year. Most recently, I have read and performed my poetry at the Bath Festival, with the band Barry Lane and the Fridge Mechanics, and at the Cheltenham Poetry Festival, with the poet Don Paterson.
